'Tis The Season

So here it is.  I have been brought into the blogging world.

As I am sure you know (if not... where have you been?) Christmas is coming up very shortly.  Now don't get me wrong, I love Christmas... in fact come to our house anytime and I'm sure you will here the Christmas music playing and see our Christmas tree in the corner.

Everybody is more generous, more giving, yet... do we really understand why we change our attitudes around this time of year?

Think of Christmas and more likely than not we tend to think of Santa, gifts, candy canes, snow, lights... and the list goes on and on.

But why does this all matter?  The real reason for the season is the birth of Jesus Christ.  Yes, we get gifts at this time of year, but so often we forget that we have already been given the biggest gift we could receive.... God's precious son.

An interesting watch...

Just a thought...
What if we could all give and love others the whole year around like we do around Christmas time?
We celebrate Jesus' birth on Christmas, but Jesus continued to give and love others even past the "New Years Day Mark".

So, enjoy the company of your family, the lights, the gifts.... but let's not forget the true reason for the season.
