Playdate at the Splash Pad

Today, Peyton and I met up with some friends at a splash pad.
It was our first time going to this one (as it's out of town), but so worth the money and she had a blast!

Summer Dance Classes

Peyton enjoyed her first set of dance classes this summer (and will continue after a short break so Mommy and Daddy can get used to the new schedule once the baby comes).

She loved her teacher (THANK YOU for being patient with her!)
and told me all about the moves she did throughout the week.
Some of her favourite moves were:
  • Star Jumps
  • Princess Twirls
  • Froggy Hops
  • Pointing and Flexing her feet
  • Sommersaults
  • Bridges
It was so exciting seeing her get excited for dance every week.
She would try to run to me to say "I DID IT!" every time she did one move (which we had to tell her to wait as her poor teacher had to get her and pause each time she did this).

Maternity Pictures - Baby Marshall #2

Almost two weeks ago, we went to get family photos to celebrate the upcoming addition to our family.
At this point I was only 34.5 weeks pregnant but that means our family is changing in one short month!

These pictures were taken on a trail near our house,
but I was so excited how they turned out and the beauty of the city that is shown in them :)

My beautiful firstborn   :D

Her "Smile" face

We told Peyton to let me smell the flower but she thought Daddy would be more interested in smelling it

One of my favourites :)

This book was read at our wedding, and Peyton was gifted it as a baby and we will continue to read it to the new baby

One of the not so wonderful perks of pregnancy is swollen hands and fingers ;) my way of keeping my wedding rings nearby

The Little Things Count

Today God let me hear exactly the words I needed to hear.
Lately I have been feeling that all the little things I do are overseen.  Dirty diapers, endless amounts of laundry and picking up toys.  It all seemed just pointless.
And then I was read this verse:

Hebrews 6:10
For God is not unjust, He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love for him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

How cool is it that God gives us reminders that He does see everything and we will be blessed for those little things.
Just the reminder I needed.

Dear Little One

Dear Little One,

In only 5 short weeks, I will meet you.  Both your Daddy and I are very excited to meet you.  There is something special about feeling your little kicks (though not so little anymore) every morning as a hello and every night as a goodnight.

We pray for you often, and are excited to find out if you are a little "he" or "she".  Know that neither of us are perfect but we are going to try our best to bring you up learning about our God and Saviour and how much He loves you and cares for you.

Please stay safe until we meet you.  You are loved by many, even before making your big appearance.

Sincerly,
Your Mommy
