Christmas 2014

What a Christmas this year was!
It was so neat to see Peyton get excited for all her gifts and go to the living nativity scene with her to help her understand the real reason for Christmas.

We spent some time at my grandparents for 3 days, then came back home and spent time with the Marshall side of the family.

On Christmas morning, Peyton started opening her presents in tiny tiny pieces.  After a few gifts she was flying through!  However, she was not impressed when I wrapped her gifts in old candy boxes I had from Halloween and she opened them to find out they were clothes.

Gingerbread Man Day

It's that time of year again!
While I am off of school and having more time with Peyton,
we tend to be able to get more creative with our days.
Yesterday, we decorated gingerbread men (or as Peyton called them "Bears").
Though the icing was difficult to get out, she loved spreading it with a spoon and putting the candy on the icing.

Here are some pictures of our decorating:

Our Year in Review-2014

This year was an exciting year in the Marshall household!

Peyton is now almost 2 years old and is an active, fun-loving little girl!  She has loved getting to know the city, whether it be visiting the library, play groups or going for walks to local parks.  Lately, she has had a love of anything and everything Minnie Mouse.  She loves playing with Holmes (the cat) and will go to find "ki-eee" the moment she wakes up.  She is such a joy to have in the house.

Wes has begun working with my Dad, and loving getting to know the bricklaying trade in more detail.  He has grown a love for laying stone.

For myself (Bre), I am truly in the last bit of my schooling.  In April, I finished Teacher's College and now am just one course away from receiving both my undergrad and Bachelor of Education.  I have begun working at Wayne Gretsky Centre as well as teaching piano at the Art of Music Academy in Brantford.

Our big news of the year was the purchase of our first house which we moved into early June.  It has been busy but we are working at making this house our home.  We love the neighbourhood and everything it has to offer.  Though it was nice seeing other cities these last few years, we are so glad to finally be settled into a long-term home!

We pray that you have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy time with family and friends celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas!

Love,
Wes, Bre, Peyton and Holmes
