This post is a part of the 31 days of encouragement. Each day, a word will be given to reflect upon. Today's word (JOY) is one that is close to my heart. #31daysofencouragement
The word Joy means many things to me. Peyton's middle name is Joy. She is named not only after the camp we met at but also because of the fact that in the future she can think about her name and remember that Joy is a choice.
James 1:2-3
Consider it pure joy,
my brothers and sisters,
whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance
Often, when you come along trials in your life- whether they are the daily ones you face time and time again, or the ones that seem to come out of nowhere- the ability to choose joy seems far from reality. But God promises that these tests of faith will develop perseverance. If we are able to make the choice to choose joy
regardless of circumstances, God will sustain us with His strength (Psalm 55:22).
