Safety Village Trick or Treating

One of the things I am really loving about my city is the large number of free family events.  

Today I took the girls trick or treating at the local Safety Village (basically a toddler sized town -- so cute !)

Peyton was a zebra and Ashlynn was a bear (though I didn't get pictures of her unfortunately as she was sleeping whole time)

On July 25, my sister-in-law Emily got married. 

The day went beautifully, and I couldn't be more excited for the wonderful couple!

Though Emily is Wes' sister, it is Emily I was first friends with when we met years ago. 

(To be honest, for a few months into dating Wes, I would tell my parents I was visiting Emily not him)

It has been such a blessing to see her grow into the woman she is and to meet the wonderful guy Peyton now calls her Uncle Nathan. 

I was lucky enough to be a part of the wedding party, alongside Peyton who was the flowergirl. 

There were so many beautiful photos of the day, but here is a few. 

The day was small but intimate, but you could see all the beautiful details Emily worked so hard in creating the months beforehand.

Fair Day 2015

Fair day will always have a special place in my heart. 

It is so cool to see the whole town (basically) out cheering and having a good time. 

This year we went with some friends of ours (who have a little one Peyton and Ashlynn's age give or take a few weeks). 

They had a great time, and though we couldn't stay long it was a great way to spend the day!

Thanksgiving Day 2015

This year we spent Thanksgiving on the quiet side of things.  

We went to a nice supper with the Marshall side of the family on Sunday, and Monday we spent time relaxing and then on a nice family walk in the afternoon.  

Both the girls loved the walk, and it was a beautiful day out!

Mom: Can you feed your baby doll while I feed Ashlynn?
P: Sure:) (pretends to breastfeed her doll)
Dad: Are you all done feeding her now?
P: No just this side we have to try the other side now
